My mother used to tell me to say “Telling Stories” instead of “Telling Lies.” “Lie” was a bad word in my family. Only old people could say another person was “lying.” Now I think kids say “lie” all the time. They also say “ass.”

World War II was not about the Holocaust. The Civil War was not about black slaves. We did not fight for these people. These people were defended and saved by accident. Just ask Bill Clinton. He understands the concept.

I wonder if there were stories on the underlying origins of Superman back in the 40s. How popular would Superman be if 1940s and 50s American society knew that Clark Kent was basically a Jew? I personally think they would have lynched him. But this leads to the eventual geek question: Which one is stronger? Superman. Or Racism.
